I'm 11 years old, and my name is Hazel. I have been having a hard time knowing if im actually saved. I have told Jesus I accept him as my Lord and Savior. But I feel like nothing had changed. I've rededicated my life to him a few times because I truly have no idea if im really saved. I've also prayed for an answer. Please tell me ways I can grow closer to jesus, and ways I can tell if I've been saved. Thank you all. Have a blessed day 🙏 ✨️

If you are completely sure and are confident and start to get doubts, it may be from the enemy to discourage you. Confess it to God, he understands how you feel. If you are getting doubts, that’s a pretty good start; the enemy sees your faith and is trying to discourage and confuse you with doubts. Be encouraged, soon, those doubts will be crushed. If they are intellectual, tell God and search for the answer, because I guarantee you that that it will lead you back to God. Do not worry, trust in God about your doubts and feelings.

If you know God will keep his promises and are confident, then don’t buy in to the doubts of the enemy. He will soon be destroyed, God sees your faith.

Im worried my faith and trust isn't genuine there is 99% of me that thinks it is genuine and then there is this tiny 1% that makes me doubtful ALL the time. And im sure i really do believe in Jesus. And i know god will keep his promises and won't go against what he has already said.

"What has God done for you so that you could be saved? If you have repented of your sins before God, which means asking for His forgiveness and believing in Him as your Lord and Savior, then you are saved. And after repentance, there will always be fruits of repentance; you will begin to turn away from sin and the world and start looking to and following Jesus Christ. Pray that the Holy Spirit guides you on the path to change and teaches you to live your whole life according to God's will and transforms your heart. Doubts can sometimes come from satan and our worries, but it is important to trust in the Word of God and know that it is true. Remember that Jesus Christ is our Shepherd, and He loves us deeply and cares for us, wanting us to be with Him in heaven."

It’s okay, don’t be sorry for asking questions! If you never ask, how will you be sure of what you believe in? You are saved by believing in Jesus and placing your faith in him. It is your faith that will produce fruit of the spirit, thus you changing and people seeing signs of the faith that you believe in. Let’s say beforehand I struggled with lying, but after placing my faith in Jesus, knowing, experiencing, and learning of him, I begin to change. I no longer want to lie because I know Jesus, and I know it will grieve the Holy Spirit. Long story short, genuine faith will change you and highlight people who are genuinely saved versus claiming to believe in God. For example, apostle Paul was willing to die for Jesus because of his faith, he knew Jesus. What made him different from worldly people was the faith the he proclaimed saved him and the fruits that beared witness to that faith. Anyone can claim to believe in Jesus, but it is true faith that makes someone genuinely saved.

Jesus has saved you, don’t doubt it. He loves you more than anyone or anything else could. He sent his only son to die for you. Rejoice! You are saved! God has a plan for you and you will be transformed, just place your faith in him and trust him. God bless you!

Sorry I didn’t add any scripture! I would recommend you read Hebrews 10:19-39, Hebrews 11:1-40, Hebrews 12:1-3. Sorry it’s a lot of scripture but I believe it will help you a lot.

thanks so so much. You dont realize how much relief you have given me. The only thing i know god will keep his promises and won't go against what he has already said, im worried that my faith isn't genuine, even though I've seen the signs he has given me. (Some pretty cool ones if I'd say) but im still concerned my faith or trust isn't real. Even though im 99% sure it is. There is just that 1% saying it's not. And i know it's not coming from god, it's from the enemy.

If im being honest, I was just in the shower praying to the lord. And crying, not happy tears, scared, worried, and sad tears. Because im scared my faith is not true. Im believe that god will keep his promises of my salvation, but im scared I dont have salvation, im scared im not actually saved because my faith isn't true or i dont really trust god, but I do, but I dont. I dont know?! Please help

You can meditate on Gods qualities which will deepen your understanding of who he is and make you more prone to trusting him. For example, we know God is wise, omnipotent, omnipresent, Holy, perfect, compassionate, gentle, empathetic, and a loving father and friend. Now I ask you, Would you trust him knowing his character? You may say yes or no, but if you want to develop genuine trust with God, draw near to him and get to know him. Read your Bible, worship, pray, and speak with other believers. Draw near to him, and he will draw near to you. Just how you’d develop trust with your friends after knowing them is the same principle with God. Btw it’s okay, I don’t mind typing long paragraphs ;).

Sometimes we can feel doubtful and our feelings may tell us otherwise, yet remember, we are led by faith, not by sight or feeling. We are told in Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Meaning that we must trust in God despite what our feelings tell us. This is because you cannot have genuine faith, if you are led by feelings. Sure, sometimes you may feel doubtful and unsure, but remember that Jesus is trustworthy enough and his sacrifice was enough to atone the sins of everyone. We cannot place a price or an action to his sacrifice.

Hello sister, I’d like to reassure you not to worry and overthink your salvation. John 3:16 states: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This verse reassures us that as long as we believe in Jesus and put our faith in what he did on the cross, we will be saved. We are saved by grace through faith. We cannot work our way to be saved or earn it; we just accept Jesus’ worthy sacrifice and place our faith in him. With time, the quality of our faith will begin to produce fruit of the spirit. God bless you sister and grant you the confidence needed to reassure you that you are saved if you place your faith in what Jesus did.

Romans 10:9-10

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
