I'm 11 years old, and my name is Hazel. I have been having a hard time knowing if im actually saved. I have told Jesus I accept him as my Lord and Savior. But I feel like nothing had changed. I've rededicated my life to him a few times because I truly have no idea if im really saved. I've also prayed for an answer. Please tell me ways I can grow closer to jesus, and ways I can tell if I've been saved. Thank you all. Have a blessed day 🙏 ✨️

I’m sorry. If you are wholeheartedly seeking God and mean it for good reasons and trust in him completely, it is real and not fake. If you put him first in your life you are not faking it. Sometimes we may not have pure intentions with following God. Some do It for money, others for power, but that is not what God wants. He wants us to seek him for who he is. If that is what you are doing, you are not faking it. But if you have a bad intention, speak to God and ask him to create a pure heart within you ( Psalm 51:9-10)

If you have pure motives and are genuinely seeking God and are surrendered to him, you are not faking it.

Sorry about this, but those words are very fancy, so I can't really tell what it means..

Ohhh! Ok.

That’s fine, I don’t mind. You grow your trust in him by getting to know him, you show him that you trust him by surrendering everything to him— which just means putting him first because you already know him and trust him completely.

By reading your Bible and trusting in what God said. The Holy scriptures in the Bible are divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. So, for example, even though the apostle Paul wrote letters to different churches around the world, the words written were essentially the words of God himself. So when we read scriptures like John 3:16, we can believe and place our trust in God that we are saved even though he hasn’t given us a sign. These God breathed scriptures were intended to be true and trustworthy, because they are the literal words of God. This is one of the greatest epitomes of the Gospel and Christianity—faith.

I have experienced what you have felt. Instead of asking questions, I actually distanced myself from God and still struggle with that. Later on, I started reading my Bible more often which really has helped, I started asking my pastors at church, and I started asking questions online which has helped me a lot. Though the main thing that has helped me the most has been reading my Bible. I understand how you feel, it’s why I even answered to your prayer in the first place. I don’t want you to be confused.

Well thanks! I read my Bible daily, sometimes twice. I tell my mom I want to get baptized and go to a youth group. Im 11 so I can't drive myself places. So I can't decide if I can go to church, bit my mom says that she will sign me up.

How would I know that I am saved without God telling me straight to my face? lol

I’m sorry you feel that way, Hazel. God would never want you to feel sad and scared about your salvation, if you feel that way, it is not from him. The fact that you even question the genuity of your faith and are seeking God proves your faith is genuine and real. Please, don’t over think it. Salvation is a simple concept, so simple that it can be over complicated. If you believe in Gods promises and the fact that he saved you, you are saved. Jesus has set you free from the chains of sin, you are free. Trust in what he did for you. You cannot earn salvation or buy it, just accept. If your faith wasn’t genuine then you wouldn’t even bother asking, but fortunately, it is. Hazel, you are saved and adored by God.

I guess I've never thought about it that way. But I have heard that the closer god gets, the more the enemy attacks. Could that be what's happening 🤔 You are amazing! Truly amazing. You have helped me so much just today! Lol 😄 thanks 😊

Romans 10:9-10

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
