Hello everyone, I would really like for you guys to pray for me. My name is Ayanna and I'm 14, lately I've been struggling with mental health and faith. Hallo liebe Geschwister im Glauben, das Thema „Sprachen“ bzw. „das Reden in Zungen“ beschäftigt mich sehr. Ich versuche, mich gut darüber zu informieren, aber ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, was richtig und was falsch ist. Ich habe auch mit anderen Geschwistern darüber gesprochen und versucht, die Schrift zu verstehen, doch am Ende bleibe ich oft unentschlossen. Viele sagen, dass mit „Sprachen“ in der Bibel normale Fremdsprachen gemeint sind. Früher, so sagen sie, diente diese Gabe dazu, das Evangelium weiterzugeben – weil es noch nicht in allen Sprachen verbreitet war. Heute aber, da das Wort Gottes weltweit zugänglich ist, sei diese Gabe nicht mehr notwendig. Ich verstehe außerdem nicht, warum man überhaupt in Sprachen reden sollte, wenn es heißt, man rede damit „Geheimnisse mit Gott“. Denn wenn ich mit Gott reden möchte, kann ich das ja auch in Gedanken oder im Gebet tun – ganz ohne Worte, die ich selbst nicht verstehe. Dann gibt es aber auch Geschwister, die sagen, das Reden in Zungen sei etwas Richtiges und nennen als Beleg zum Beispiel 1. Korinther 14. Ich habe allerdings ein Video gesehen, das sich mit diesem Kapitel beschäftigt. Dort wurde erklärt, dass es dabei um tatsächliche Fremdsprachen geht – etwa so: Wenn jemand in einer italienischsprachigen Gemeinde ist und selbst nur Spanisch spricht, er etwas sagen möchte, dann braucht es jemanden, der es auf italienisch auslegt, damit es verstanden wird. Ich habe außerdem in der Bibel nie gelesen, dass dort ausdrücklich von einer „Zungensprache“ die Rede ist – sondern immer nur von „Sprachen“. Es wird auch nicht beschrieben, wie sich diese „Zungensprache“ konkret anhört. Liebe Geschwister, ich hoffe, jemand kann mir helfen und mir dieses Thema ausführlich und anhand der Schrift erklären. Because if I want to talk to God, I can do so in thoughts or in prayer—without words that I don't understand myself. But then there are also siblings who say that speaking in tongues is something right and cite, for example, 1 Corinthians 14 as evidence. However, I saw a video that deals with this chapter. It was explained there that it is about actual foreign languages—something like this: If someone is in an Italian-speaking congregation and only speaks Spanish themselves, and they want to say something, then someone is needed to interpret it into Italian so that it is understood. I have also never read in the Bible that it explicitly speaks of a "tongue language"—but always only of "languages". It is also not described how this "tongue language" sounds concretely. Honestly, I’m exhausted by everything that’s happening, and I really want and need God to help me, to grant me peace, his love, and to have mercy on me. I can’t go on feeling this strange way and living each day without understanding what’s going on, constantly thinking something bad is happening. I want to live a dignified life, for my family to live one too, and for us to be able to move forward, understand each other, love each other, and especially for them to support me and walk with me through this world that often feels so cruel and strange. I also want my parents and my family to be well, because they are the foundation and support that hold up my overwhelmed heart when I need it the most. I don’t want to keep dealing with anxiety and attacks that make me think strange things about the world or some distorted reality. I don’t want to be depressed. Hello, I'm Bella, 15 years old. When I was young I was so close to God, I felt a deep connection. I was reading bible comics that really helped my young mind get closer to Him. I even remember kneeling and crying, praying for God to heal my brother. I remembered weeping because of what Jesus Christ had gone through. That's how much faith I had for him. Then, I got a phone and came across a post that sent fear through me, I was afraid that I lost that connection with Him. Mind you that was even before the pandemic so I spent the rest of the years away from Him. It was so distant, I was having a hard time believing in Him again, and I fell on sins. I'm a sinner by nature. When the pandemic struck, I was 9 or 10 by the time. And Christians started to spread the word of God using TikTok. I was afraid because I believed that He's coming soon and I would be sent straight to hell. So I started believing in Him again, but without heart. It was through fear. It wasn't genuine, I wasn't forming a genuine relationship with Him. So I gave it up. I continued living my life, and I was happy with what the world offered. I'm still a believer, but I wasn't a follower. Now, in 2025, I'm starting to grow my faith again. There's doubts, a lot of it. I wanted my connection and relation with Him to be genuine. My mind is my greatest opponent and my heart always tries to deceive me. When it feels like they're winning, God would send me messages through different people. I wanted to be a follower, but I'm still ashamed because of my past. I'm scared of what the crowd would think knowing that I was and still am a sinner. I wanted to live like Jesus Christ, but it was hard, I'm ashamed to show the world how much I love Him.

Dear Lord Heavenly Father I pray and ask for forgiveness. I ask that you soften my heart and allow your will to be done in my life. Lord I pray that you will continue to be the lamp to my footsteps and guide me on your righteous path so that I may try and live more like you. I pray that you put forgiveness on my heart so that I may forgive anyone who has hurt or persecuted me. I pray that you bless them and reveal Yourself to them. I have a very important certification exam tomorrow, I pray for wisdom, knowledge, confidence and guidance as I take my last certification exam. hi my name is Emani, I’ve been a Christian for the past year and when things started I felt very close to God, aswell as very passionate and motivated. But lately, ive been feeling so depressed and unmotivated. I’ll have the desire to spend time with God and be doing all the things for a week, praying, getting in my Bible, listening to worship, etc. but I find myself getting unmotivated and falling into depression and anxiety. I am very grateful to God for everything He has given me, but I still have in my heart the desire to marry a child of God and start a family.
