Are you fasting while reading his Word? It's very powerful but you have to meet God halfway. It's not the same as praying. You don't have to fast for days, just postpone one meal then eat later.

Hilda, I’m currently facing very similar battles. I haven’t opened this app in awhile and tonight I did, and when I went to the prayer tab, yours was the 1st prayer. Right there in top. As I read your request, it was as if Holy Spirit was asking me to pray for the both of us. These are issues I’ve been running away from acknowledging lately and this was my confirmation to deal with it more intentionally. Thank you for being honest and putting your petitions out there before the world and God.
