If you've never fasted while reading his Word, I highly recommend it. Just a light fast; postpone one meal. It creates a powerful bond with the Lord that makes you feel his love and comfort. It's quality time with the Lord. Also say the Lord's prayer over and over again.

Jesus was also tempted by the devil, but he always fought back with the word of God and drove away the evil. Ask God for strength, and by memorizing and applying the scriptures, everything will be good. Evil can only be overcome with good. Of course, the devil doesn't like that you are a child of God, that's why he does it, but whoever perseveres will be saved.
