If you've never fasted while reading his Word, I highly recommend it. Just a light fast; postpone one meal. It creates a powerful bond with the Lord that makes you feel his love and comfort. It's quality time with the Lord. And say the Lord's prayer over and over again.

I started my reading of the Bible in the Gospel of John, in the book of Proverbs, and in the letters of James, Philippians, and Ephesians.

I would start with the book of Mark if you wanna know about Jesus’s life and book of Matthew if you wanna hear more of Jesus’s teachings( i personally prefer Matthew😁)

If I were you, I would start with either the book of Mark, or the book of John. Those are both really good and are both Gospels
