I’m a young Christian and I’ve always been confused about what it really means to fear God . I’ve always been told to fear God from church preachings from people and form the Bible but I never understand.

It's not fear as you think. Just acknowledging His ultimate power. Like how you acknowledge that your earthly parent has authority over you. You know your parent can ground you, or discipline you. Fear of God is like that, but deeper. It's not you being scared of him necessarily, but having the utmost respect and understanding of your place. You understand that God can do anything, and you "fear" him by understanding that you cannot do whatever you want without consequences.

Oi! Obrigada por falar como se sente. Deus é santo, e por isso a única reação possível é temor imediato. Ele é infinitamente grandioso. Deus não é como nós. Temos significa reverência e respeito completo.
