Hi, I haven't prayed or read my Bible in months. I have strayed. I have fallen into depression, anxiety and a loss of purpose/spiritual crisis. Things aren't going well for me emotionally. Recently, (TW ⚠️) This past month I had made an attempt, and was in the hospital. Just yesterday, my best friend who I saw as a sibling abruptly told me that they did not want to be friends anymore, and we have been friends for years. It was extremely abrupt, and they suddenly cut off all contact with me, we haven't exchanged a word since, and my depression and thoughts of attempting again has skyrocketed, because I really loved my former best friend. It seemed like they moved on really quickly, so I can't stop thinking about if little things I did over time made them not want to be with me anymore. I really need help, and will probably be posting asking for a lot more prayers. Thank you.

Hello! I have prayed for you, God will light your path, and God will welcome you with opening arms! John 6:37 “I will not reject anyone who comes to me.” And James 4:8 states, “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” Ultimate proof that God will welcome you back, Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” God wants to give you rest, to turn your anxiety into peace, your depression into pure joy. You have to let him do that though. I suggest you take baby steps! Because you don’t want reading the bible to become a chore or homework. You can start off as reading a chapter or two a day, or take even smaller steps and read a verse a day or two! Remember God is with you through your whole faith journey. God can take away your thoughts of committing, he can take away your depression and anxiety. I suggest you read comforting verses!
