In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Self-denial involves putting aside our own desires, ambitions, and selfish tendencies in order to prioritize God's will and the needs of others. It requires surrendering our will to God's will, seeking His kingdom above our own comforts and preferences. By daily choosing to crucify our fleshly desires and align our lives with God's purposes, we can practice self-denial and grow in our discipleship with Jesus.
