You shouldn’t worry too much about denominations at first — just focus on following Jesus, reading the Bible, and learning about God's word so you can know someone is speaking the word of God first. Pope Francis once said that all religions lead to God, but the Bible clearly teaches otherwise. In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” It's important to know God’s Word for yourself before joining one. That way, you can recognize when people, whether priests or others, claim to be doing God’s work but are actually acting in pride or deception. Focus on following Jesus and growing in His truth first — then you’ll be better prepared to discern which community is truly grounded in Him.
