I don't know if my faith is genuine. I wanna think it is, but truthfully, I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I'm forcing myself to read God's word. And often times I hear about these grand revivals previous non believers had that brought them back to Christ. I hear people say "I felt his arms wrap around me", or "I felt a wave of comfort wash over me", and I just don't get it. I feel like that just doesn't happen to me. I hear that people break down and cry when they sin, and yeah I feel guilty, but I feel like the weight of it doesn't hit me hard like it does to them, like I'm numb. There's just so much I feel like I'm doing wrong.
I invite you to always search up Bible verses that talk about the feelings, situations, thoughts or plans you may have. God has everything answered in his word for us, he speaks his love and perfect will to us 🫂🔥♥️
I can connect with you, my brother. What I've experienced myself is that it's a fight we have against our flesh. Our flesh opposes the spirit. ➡️ We naturally don't want to pray, read the word, etc. It's in our human nature. We drift away from God if we don't connect with him often 🤕 ➡️ We need to continue seeking God even if we don't feel like it, it's always worth it. Even if you feel like nothing has changed afterwards, believe me, God is always there and he rejoices in sharing time with you 🙌🔥 ➡️ God hasn't left your life, it's not that your aren't "Christian enough" nor that "God got angry at you and left". Nope! 💟 Don't stop seeking God, reading his word. Try to write down prayers if it's hard at times. Praying is simply talking with God. You don't have to put a happy, perfect mask to talk with God. You don't have to filter your thoughts when speaking to God. Nothing will surprise him, God is our loving father and he is patient with everyone of us, he never grows tired nor stops caring about us. Be YOURSELF with God and speak your heart, feelings, thoughts, worries, everything to him 🫂❤🩹 💟 Don't give up on God. Rest in the fact that, even if we fail, he will never give up on us. Even if we ignore him. He leaves the 99 to find the 100th. He waits you always with open arms, to give you the greatest hug you could imagine (Even if you don't feel it). He gave EVERYTHING in the cross for you and me, don't doubt it... It's a reality as real as you and me 🤜🤛 💟 Remember: Jesus Christ loves you in a single second infinitely more than what any person could in a lifetime 🫀 🔥 You'll see that, the more you seek him, the more you'll get to know him AND know his everlasting love, compassion, mercy, calm... 🔥 It's not so much about feeling him, but growing your relationship with him. It's a relationship. God seeks a deep, intimate, loving relationship with you. You can be YOURSELF with God, he knows you better than anyone and created you with love and a purpose 🥹📖 🔥 Have this hope in God's word, he never lies and he will fullfill his promises in us, his children (Hebrews 6). Always meditate in his word, you'll see there's an answer for everything in the Bible — "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you (James 4:8)"
I feel the same way sometimes.
"He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.""

I understand that sometimes we can feel distance from God but being close to God has nothing to do with reading the Bible or confessing your sins it has to do with the close intimacy you have with him treat God like he his your best friend , your father mother the close person you can literally tell anything at all make it a constant to speake to him all the time every day then he will draw close to yoh remember go to him authentic
