The Silhouette of Salvation: Our Outline of Grace God is light, and we are darkness. It is for this reason that, when God looks around, He sees no one. Our darkness hides us from His sight. But when we accept His Son, Jesus Christ, and believe in Him, everything changes. When God looks again, He sees the silhouette of His Son within all who have received Him. In that silhouette, even though it is surrounded by darkness, God finally sees us—because of what His Son has done for us. In seeing that silhouette, God knows with certainty that we believe in Him, for if we did not, He would not see His Son’s image within us at all when He looks in our direction. And so, without making Himself a liar, He is now able to see us and love us as He has always desired—yet with our permission. For it is only through Christ that the God who is light can behold the darkness of man, and in that moment, call it beloved. Amen. 🙏✝️✝️✝️
