I used to do the same thing and still do in front of people when I pray. Not so much by myself now as I learned to speak what’s in my heart or like talking with a friend. I find it easy to do by myself but I struggle if I have to pray in front of a bunch of people. For me praying has always been personal and that’s why I struggle in front of people. I manage but I need prayers for that issue. Lol. It’s almost like public speaking it seems and I am very shy. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.
